Another confirmation of the ubiquitous presence of liquid crystals in the body is based on the 1920s discovery by the Russian embryologist Alexander Gurwitsch. He discovered that our bodies emit very weak photons, called biophotons. His discovery has long been known and is widely accepted. In the 1970s, Fritz-Albert Popp and researchers at the University of Marburg in Germany, later at the Institute of Biophysical Cell Research in Germany, applied Gurwitsch's discovery to exploring the crystalline structure of the human body.
What Popp's team expected to find, based on the conventional biochemical model, is that every biophoton emission would be emitted at random times and at random frequencies. Instead, they found that almost all biophoton emissions were emitted in phaseâsame timing, same frequency. Their findings suggest that, just as chlorophyll molecules are aligned and synchronized during resonant energy transfer, most tissues in the human body are in continuously entangled, coherent quantum states.
A recent paper on the behavior of brain cells, published in the journal Neuron, reveals that brain cells often change their rate of vibration, referred to in the paper as âtheta and low- and high-frequency gamma oscillations.â18 Further, the study authors found that separate groups of brain cells, located in different regions of the brain, will often be in the same frequency and phase.
Significantly, it has also been discovered that DNA, too, behaves as a liquid crystal.19
If, contrary to the conventional biochemical model and conventional genetic theory, DNA is only a collection of blueprints for creating proteinsâbut does not itself contain preprogrammed coding to control the timing and use of the protein blueprintsâthen the controlling information that determines what proteins are produced, and when, has to come from somewhere else. Quantum biology suggests that the controlling information is nonlocal; string theory's holographic principle suggests that the controlling information is contained in a nonlocal holographic energy template: Through the nonlocal-to-local information bridge, known as quantum entanglement or quantum coherence, a holographic energy template can control the liquid crystal DNA molecule and coordinate what proteins a cell makes and when.
Informed by the discoveries of epigenetics and quantum biology explored previously, a new quantum biological model is emerging. Although known biochemical processes are unquestionably taking place continuously in living organisms, there is another, subtler process taking place as well: The liquid crystal structures within our tissues, including DNA, phase in and out of quantum coherenceâthus allowing the information from our holographic energy template to initiate and coordinate the life processes taking place in our physical body.
It is the failure to transcend the [biochemical] mechanistic framework that makes people persist in enquiring which parts [of the body] are in control, or issuing instructions or information. The challenge for us all is to rethink information processing in the context of the [quantumly] coherent organic whole.

A subtle spiritual mechanism is hidden just behind the bodily structure.

We must liberate man from the cosmos created by the genius of physicists and astronomers, that cosmos in which, since the renaissance, he has been imprisoned.
